Eagle round shoulder plates (Regulation 1826)

Regulations were issued in 1826 promulgating the use of these shoulder plates.  Most were produced in the 1860's and the regulation was followed up until the end of the Civil War.  Use of these plates was generally discontinued after the war, so the shoulder plate, often called "breast plate", saw extensive use in the Civil War, even though it was an idea that had been around for a long time before the war.

All items listed are guaranteed authentic to the Civil War or as otherwise described.
Any excavated relics have been recovered from private property with owners permission.
