BG0001     Pennsylvania "State Fencibles" staff officer button, Horstmann Bros & Co, (22.8mm) 


The Pennsylvania State Fencibles was organized before the war and re-organized after the war. Button depicts an officer style eagle with STATE FENCIBLES" AND "1813". This button was probably produced around 1880. 
Backmark: "HORSTMANN BROS. & CO / (dot) PHIL (dot) " dm large letters with no serifs between two rings of dots, manufactured after after 1880. (HorstmannB06) 
Three part officer coat button, post war rim is wide, back is silvered. 
Shank intact, top grade gilded nondug button.
