Pennsylvania
"State Fencibles" staff officer button, Horstmann Bros &
Co, (22.8mm)
The Pennsylvania State Fencibles was organized before the war and
re-organized after the war. Button depicts an officer style eagle with STATE
FENCIBLES" AND "1813". This button was probably produced around
1880.
Backmark: "HORSTMANN BROS. & CO / (dot) PHIL (dot) " dm large
letters with no serifs between two rings of dots, manufactured after after 1880.

Shank intact, top grade gilded nondug button.
