Button was intended for officers, depicting patriotic symbolism of eagle grasping arrows for war and olive branch for peace. Backmark: "OEHMS ACME HALL / (dot) BALTIMORE (dot)" dm outer ring of dots, manufactured 1880's or later, (Oehms Acme Hall.100). Three part officer button, hat or sleeve size.
