Cadet button with globe is cadet button prior to the War, Scovills stars rm, (14mm)
Purpose is not determined, some collectors think it might be sample or prototype for West Point, if so it never got accepted. The globe suggests New York affiliation of some sort (West Point is in New York) but it could have been for a different cadet program that never developed. Button is rare but esoteric and we really do not know who it was made for.
