B5980...Federal infantry button, eagle with "I", "(graphic of eagle), / FineGoldPlate" dm on a ribbon, (22.5mm). Button depicts eagle facing right with "I" in the shield, generally for infantry officers. Backmark: "(graphic of eagle), / FineGoldPlate" dm on a ribbon, likely manufacture by Steele & Johnson, ca. 1860, (FineGoldPlate100). Two part convex button, large coat size.
Button 1200 Federal Infantry, FineGoldPlate100.1. Die variant, eagle neck is short, five tail feathers are symmetrical. Reference: Albert GI85/88, Tice GI215A103.

B6836...Federal infantry button, eagle with "I", "(graphic of eagle), / FineGoldPlate" dm on a ribbon, (22.5mm). Button depicts eagle facing right with "I" in the shield, generally for infantry officers. Backmark: "(graphic of eagle), / FineGoldPlate" dm on a ribbon, likely manufacture by Steele & Johnson, ca. 1860, (FineGoldPlate100). Two part convex button, large coat size.
Button 1200 Federal Infantry, FineGoldPlate100.2. Die variant, eagle neck is long, five tail feathers are irregular, feathers are highly structured. Reference: Albert GI85/88, Tice GI215A103.
