Federal Navy two piece buttons (NA101 to NA119), upright anchor

Button depicts eagle over upright anchor surrounded by 13 stars, pattern prevalent from the 1830's to 1850's, generally intended for Federal Navy officers.  This die pattern features eagle facing right on lined field with plain surrounded by rope border.  Backmark:  "YOUNG. SMITH & CO / (dot) New (dot) York (dot)" dm, no rings, ca 1840's , (Young26).  Two part convex button, coat size.

SMITH & CO / (dot) New (dot) York (dot)" dm, no rings, ca 1840's , (Young26).  Two part convex button, coat size.  Nondug button, gilded, stand up shank.

SMITH & CO / (star) (star) (star) NEW. YORK (star) (star) (star) " dm two inner solid rings, third inner ring is set of triangles resembling a gear, Scovill produced ca 1830's or 1840's, (Young08).  Two part convex button, coat size.
