Palmetto Guard button, fake.
Palmetto Guard button, Albert SC17. This piece of junk is crude cast,
alloy is not even brass. Most of the backmark is missing, back was milled
presumably to remove casting debris, shank is formed from casting, this ought
not to fool the collectors. This was bought off ebay, the buyer got
suspicious and sent it to me for evaluation, by the time he sent it to me he
pretty much figured out it is bad which it is.
