FP0313     CS two part belt plate, "script" style

Tongue keeper 46.7mm
Wreath keeper 47.1mm
Wreath 49.3mm
Old English style lettering solid brass casting. This example is second generation casting. Note keeper bars are beveled, tongue is stepped up.
Beautiful green patina, plate recovered in 1970's

Editor note:  This plate was bought in 1986, from a very reputable dealer.  The casting is sharp, the plate does measure small, the flaws on the back of the tongue appear to match F1014, and the wreath does not seem to match at all.  So is this a repro?
