FP1602     Eagle round shoulder plate, authentic plate, faked provenance

Note pic not made before I sold it, this pic taken off ebay after listed by the buyer, Steve Maynard.  The item is authentic but Maynard's claims on ebay about it was not.  None of this crap on the back about Devils Den was on this plate when I sold it!

Here is my description of the plate
The round shoulder plate was developed from earlier regulations, most were made late 1850's or during the Civil War.  This attractive die pattern is noted for its sharp detail and is believed to have been produced by JJ Pittman.
Round die stamped plate, solder filled, two iron hooks intended for enlisted.
Attractive dug patina, original bends, no hooks.
Recovered: not known
