Original was cast, with integral tongue. There apparently were multiple manufacturers as there are more varieties than in the book. Because it is a simple cast plate, it is popular amongst fakers

This is reproduction of plate 668 , pattern without the stem sticking above the "Y" Note that original of this pattern had roman numerals used presumably for bench marks. This mark was apparently filed off of the casting master, this mlling work is apparent above the tongue.
