The Civil War Relicman,
Harry Ridgeway

Winchester, Virginia USA (changed hands 70 times in the Civil War!)

I am a collector buying and selling authentic Civil War Relics

Who is this relicman, anyway?

I have been collecting since I was a young teenager.

Just a few fun pictures

This is what I looked like when I first started my webpage.  I wore this silly shirt to shows so people could find me, thought it might be "distinct".

Eight years later, I obviously did not get any more beautiful,

the shirt has a few holes and patches, but the shirt and I are still going strong.

My wife Trish "helps" me:

She is the genius behind the museum project

Together we do living history demonstrations at the Old Court House Civil War Museum in Winchester Virginia

Trish reads accounts from some of the Winchester diarists, several of the Winchester ladies kept diaries during the conflict and described their experiences during the numerous times that military authority in Winchester changed hands.  I portray old veterans, give first person accounts of some of the prisoners who scrawled their names on the courthouse walls (there are about 40 prisoners, Rebel and Yankee, whose names have been discovered and documented).  We will make presentations to civic groups, school groups etc.
