This is the "Ridgeway Reference Archive", a research tool for educational purposes only, and is provided at no cost to the reader.   Some of the relics listed are retained in the author's collection, most reside in other collections and are not owned by the author.  None of the items listed in this section are for sale, please refer to relicman.com sales listings for items offered for sale.  This is a work in progress, I list items as I get to them, there are many patterns that are not listed yet, this list will be regularly updated as I get pictures and descriptions for more items.  I will also correct mistakes, so if you see any please tell me.
All items listed are believed to be original and authentic to the Civil War or as otherwise described.
Any excavated relics have been recovered from private property with owners permission.
Any artillery or ordnance relics have been disarmed and rendered safe.
Any weapons are pre 1898 antique weapons, and are exempt from Federal regulation, no licenses or permits are required.

Georgia currency, $50, February 2, 1863
Currency was issued by the Georgia  state government February 2, 1863, "THE STATE OF GEORGIA / Will pay bearer FIFTY DOLLARS in Species or Six percent Bonds of this State, Six months after a treaty of peace shall have been ratified between the United States and the Confederate States. / RECEIVABLE IN PAYMENT OF ALL DUES TO THE STATE / AND TO THE WESTERN AND ATLANTIC RAIL. ROAD./ Milledgeville, Ga".  The note depicts  the Georgia seal (dome) at left, black print on plain paper, red overlay, blank back with Georgia seal affixed .  Date is printed, serial number is hand inscribed, signature is hand signed, Georgia seal on the back is affixed.  Printing: "HOWELL, SAVANNAH.".  Note is crisp.

M0932     Georgia currency, $50, February 2, 1863


Georgia currency, 25 cents, January 1, 1863.  Currency was issued by the Georgia  state government January 1, 1863, "THE STATE OF GEORGIA / Will pay the bearer TWENTY FIVE CENTS at the Treasury in Confederate Treasury Notes when presented in sums of Five Dollars and upwards. / Milledgeville, Ga.".  The note depicts white workers at upper center, the George state seal at lower center, black print on plain paper, blank back.  Date is printed, serial number is hand inscribed, signature is hand signed, Georgia state seal in green was applied.  Printing: "Howell. Engraver.".
