This is the "Ridgeway Reference Archive", a research tool for educational purposes only, and is provided at no cost to the reader.   Some of the relics listed are retained in the author's collection, most reside in other collections and are not owned by the author.  None of the items listed in this section are for sale, please refer to relicman.com sales listings for items offered for sale.  This is a work in progress, I list items as I get to them, there are many patterns that are not listed yet, this list will be regularly updated as I get pictures and descriptions for more items.  I will also correct mistakes, so if you see any please tell me.
All items listed are believed to be original and authentic to the Civil War or as otherwise described.
Any excavated relics have been recovered from private property with owners permission.
Any artillery or ordnance relics have been disarmed and rendered safe.
Any weapons are pre 1898 antique weapons, and are exempt from Federal regulation, no licenses or permits are required.

Texas currency, Treasury Warrant $10, civil service, 1863, 1864
Currency was issued by the Texas state government, "TREASURY WARRANT. / RECEIVABLE FOR PUBLIC DUES - FUNDABLE IN EIGHT PER CENT BONDS. / Under Act of (inscribed), 186 (inscribed) for CIVIL service, the / TREASURER OF HE STATE OF TEXAS / Will pay To (inscribed) or Bearer / TEN DOLLARS / Austin (inscribed) 186 (inscribed).  The note depicts no images, black print on plain paper, green overlay, blank back.  Authorization date is hand inscribed ("186" is printed), issue date is hand inscribed ("186" is printed), serial number is hand inscribed, signature is hand signed.

Texas currency, County of Austin, Bellville, Texas, $1, October 1, 1862
Currency was issued by the local government of County of Austin, Bellville, Texas, October 1, 1862, "AUSTIN COUNTY, Issued at Bellville, October 1st 1862, by order of the County Court. / Redeemable on the 1st day of January 1869. / This certifies that the bearer is entitled to / ONE DOLLAR, / From the County Treasury of Austin County. / RECEIVABLE FOR ALL COUNTY TAXES AND DUES.".  The note depicts globe with Texas lone star flag plated atop with "OUR COUNTRY" at center, black print, on plain paper, plain back.  Date is printed, serial number is hand inscribed, signature is hand signed.  Printing: "Texas Pr. House, Houston -E W CAVE."
