P2775 ### Hanover Brass repro: Federal sword plate. This is an example of Hanover Brass commercial grade reproduction, the plate has been produced in quantity, sold to the living history market, and is generally readily available. The product has also been used as feedstock for fakes, with chemical aging and other alterations. Gary Williams has provided the following pictures and explanation: Photo # ESBP12 Plate 666 1861-1900 Eagle Officers Sword Belt Plate 49 x 82mm. Wide hook cast and soldered where the original was a stamped brass hook. GW stamped under the hook. You can read pat. 1861 stamped in the back.
