P3128 ### US buckle F1128 US buckle, arrow hooksOffered here is a American Civil War belt buckle from the Union Army, made of brass and lead, 3 3/8 in width by 2 18 in height and weighing 4.9 ounces. This buckle bears the US letters on the face. The condition is very good, with the brass having tarnished with age.It appears to be original but I cannot Verify , so you buy AS-IS, There are no dents, splits or repairs on this piece.We purchase vintage items from a variety of sources and of most items reflect their age . P3487 ### US boxplate F1487 US boxplate I took this one off an authentic boxplate, I guess one of the owners along the way thought he needed to enhance the box. The guy who sold his collection to me did not have a clue. I don't know what the true origin of this plate is but do not think it has much of a chance of being authentic. At this writing I have not seen others, but I presume this exists out there as a buckle.
