P1578 ### P1578 ### Philadelphia Home Guard, PHG box plate Plate is now determined to be a fake.This is cast copy of the buckle photographed, O'Donnell & Campbell, Plate 589, which is a buckle.The face matches exactly picking up several prominent dings and scratches.It was made into a box plate, the wire hooks apparently fixed in some manner, the back is parged with a thin solder coating.The interior of the back was milled leaving what appears to be a rim around the outside.This is a very clever fake.
