P2684 ### Hanover Brass repro: CS two part, Leech & Rigdon. This is an example of Hanover Brass commercial grade reproduction, the plate has been produced in quantity, sold to the living history market, and is generally readily available. The product has also been used as feedstock for fakes, with chemical aging and other alterations. Gary Williams has provided the following pictures and explanation: Photo # CS2P48 Plate 041 (Leech & Rigdon) CS Two Piece Belt Plate. 48 x 87/wreath ht.46mm. GW stamped in the back. The foundry took the plate 036 CS and applied the CS disc to a plate 048 smooth two piece and came up with this belt plate. Several of this type are dug in the Army of Tennessee battle sites.
