Smoothbore flintlock musket, Harpers Ferry, 1809, .69cal. . This is original flintlock musket, .69cal.smoothbore, and is included in the general classification of those muskets produced from 1795 to 1816. Manufactured by Harpers Ferry Armory, Harpers Ferry Virginia (now WV).Details click: http://relicman.com/weapons/Weapon1201-Musket-Model-1816-Harpers-Ferry.html Marks: HARPERS / FERRY/ 1809 behind the lock, there is an eagle forward of the lock, barrel is marked P, eagle head, Vand US, Model features: Hammer has double neck, pan is integral with the lock, frizzen spring is outside of the lock, round barrel hasthree bands and no sight, two strap hooks, ramrod is trumpet head with awiper slot, threads on the end and is shorter than the barrel.
