Standard features include: scabbard is iron, originally japanned, two iron rings brazed, scabbard never had a throat. Research Center: Weapon6301-Sword-Dragoon-Contract-1818-Starr . Blade length, 32in. Scabbard is iron, originally japanned, two iron rings brazed, scabbard never had a throat Wood grip is intact, not sure there was a wire wrap or not as the example in Crouch's book does not have a wire wrap.Handle is solid and attractive, blade is relatively clean with light pitting, scabbard intact, some traces of original jappaning. |
