W1016-### Weapon-1100-Musket-Early Musket pattern early 1800s, Harpers Ferry 1809, 69cal. Musket pattern early 1800s Harpers Ferry 1809. Flayderman-9A-013. 69cal. Manufactured by Harpers Ferry Armory, Harpers Ferry Virginia (now WV). Smoothbore flintlock musket, Harpers Ferry, 1809, .69cal. This is original flintlock musket, .69cal.smoothbore, and is included in the general classification of those muskets produced from 1795 to 1816. Model features: Hammer has double neck, pan is integral with the lock, frizzen spring is outside of the lock, round barrel hasthree bands and no sight, two strap hooks, ramrod is trumpet head with awiper slot, threads on the end and is shorter than the barrel. Barrel length, 42 in. Marks: HARPERS / FERRY/ 1809 behind the lock, there is an eagle forward of the lock, barrel is marked P, eagle head, V and US. Inspection marks: 1809, barrel is marked P, eagle head, V and US.

W1298-### Weapon-1100-Musket-Early Musket pattern early 1800s, Springfield 1808, 69cal. Musket pattern early 1800s Springfield 1808. Flayderman-9A-006. 69cal. Manufactured by Springfield Armory, Springfield, Massachusetts, Smoothbore flintlock musket, Springfield, 1808, .69cal. This is original flintlock musket, .69cal.smoothbore, and is included in the general classification of those muskets produced from 1795 to 1814, this musket, dated 1808 was produced near the end of the run designated as Type II. Model features: Hammer is flat faced, beveled edge with straight spur, (top jaw guide), frizzen has a straight toe, frizzen spring has a spear point tip, pan is rounded and held in place with a screw also securing the frizzen, lock is flat with beveled edges, and a small projecting teat at the rear, trigger guard is semi-pointed on the front finial, and rounded at the rear, frizzen spring is outside of the lock, round barrel hasthree bands and no sight, forward band serves as nose guard and secures the ramrod, two strap hooks on swivel secured by screws, ramrod is button head, no threads on the end and is shorter than the barrel, stock butt is fluted with narrow wrist, Barrel length, 45 in. Marks: US in script, eagle facing right and is stylized and rigid, SPRINGFIELD in horizontal curve, date, 1808 appears horizontal behind the lock and on the buttplate, barrel is marked P, eagle head, Vand US. Inspection marks: lockplate 1808, barrel is marked P, eagle head, V and US.
