Smoothbore artillery projectile, spherical ball, solid shot, Columbiad smoothbore, 10 in. Projectile was manufactured in the Federal arsenals for the Columbiad seige gun. This solid shot was probably a test round, used to stress test the guns. Projectile measures: diameter 9.85in., weight 120lbs.
