Backmark-Armitage200
Backmark: "ARMITAGE / (dot) PHILA (dot) / JACKSONS VICTORY" rm, high convex one part button, back may have been struck twice, one part of the mark overstriking the other, neither are clear. This may have been a commemorative or political button using symbolism from First Regiment Riflemen, but applied on a small size high convex button, the concave back was apparently too deep to get a clean stamping. This backmark was only used on this design and is not similiar to any other designs. One part convex button, hat or sleeve size, 15mmto 16mm.
