Federal artillery button, eagle with "A", Thomas N Dale & Co, New York, dm, (23mm).
Button was intended for artillery and depicts eagle with "A" in the shield, generally for officers. Backmark: "THOMAS N. DALE & CO. / NEW - YORK." dm, D Evans manufactured ca 1860's, (DaleThomasN100). Two part convex button, large coat size.

B5340...Federal cavalry button, eagle with "C", "THOMAS N. DALE & CO. / NEW - YORK." dm, (22.5mm). Button depicts eagle facing right with "C" in the shield, generally for cavalry officers. Backmark: "THOMAS N. DALE & CO. / NEW - YORK." dm ca 1860's, (DaleThomasN100). Two part convex button, large coat size.

B6946...Federal infantry button, eagle with "I", "THOMAS N. DALE & CO. / NEW - YORK." dm, (23mm) Button depicts eagle with "I" in the shield, generally for infantry officers. Backmark: "THOMAS N. DALE & CO. / NEW - YORK." dm, D Evans manufactured ca 1860's, (DaleThomasN100). Two part convex button, large coat size.
Button 1200 Federal Infantry, DaleThomasN100.1. Reference: Albert GI85 or GI88, Tice GI215. Die variant, eagle's outstretched wings are long, neck is long, head is cocked sharply, three tail feathers are symmetrical. This pattern is believed to have been manufactured by D Evans.

B4122...Federal infantry button, eagle with "I", "THOMAS N. DALE & CO. / NEW - YORK." dm, (23mm) Button depicts eagle with "I" in the shield, generally for infantry officers. Backmark: "THOMAS N. DALE & CO. / NEW - YORK." dm, D Evans manufactured ca 1860's, (DaleThomasN100). Two part convex button, large coat size.
Button 1200 Federal Infantry, DaleThomasN100.2. Reference: Albert GI85 or GI88, Tice GI215. Die variant, eagle's outstretched wings are structured rounded and symmetrical, neck is wide, head is cocked sharply, five tail feathers are spread fan-like. This pattern is believed to have been manufactured by D Evans.
