Federal officer button, eagle with shield, "OEHMS ACME HALL / (dot) BALTIMORE (dot)" dm, (20mm). Button was intended for officers, depicting patriotic symbolism of eagle grasping arrows for war and olive branch for peace. Backmark: "OEHMS ACME HALL / (dot) BALTIMORE (dot)" dm outer ring of dots, manufactured 1880's or later, (OehmsAcmeHall100). Three part button, coat size. Research Center: Button1100-FedOfficer-OehmsAcmeHall100, Die pattern features eagle facing right surrounded by stars, stripes and stars in shield with convex top, blunt ears, bulged sides, and pointed bottom, three arrows in right talon.
