Backmark-Palanzuelos120 . Backmark: MENENDEZ. Y. CA dm , Scovill produced for a Cuban firm, then used as a mismatch on northern buttons ca 1860. Name of this firm was Palanzuelos Menendez. Y. CA, apparently the first part of this name was dropped on the small size button to abbreviate. Two part button, hat or sleeve size, 15mm. Reference: Tice, Dating Buttons.
