Note, this backmark is identical on staff coat size, and two part large coat size, use on coat size is similar with difference in spacing only. Federal officer button, eagle with shield, (SteeleJohnson200), (three part button, coat size, 22mm). Button was intended for officers, depicting patriotic symbolism of eagle grasping arrows for war and olive branch for peace.
