B7245...Federal general service or militia button, eagle with shield, one part flat, "TREBLE GILT / RICH ORANGE" dm, (16mm) Button depicts eagle facing right with patriotic shield, generally intended for enlisted troops and were widely used by both sides including state units. Backmark: "TREBLE GILT / RICH ORANGE" dm between two rings of dots, one part flat button, ca 1830s, small size only, (Treble 145). One part flat button, hat or sleeve size.
