This seal, with circle of thirteen stars was adopted as the official seal of the United States early 20th century and has applied to all branches of service ever since. This seal also appears on the back of a one dollar bill. All buttons with this seal date to 20th century or later/. Two part flat button.

This seal also appears on the back of a one dollar bill. All buttons with this seal date to 20th century or later/. Backmark: "SCOVILL MF"G CO / WATERBURY" dm, no rings, manufactured 20th century. Two part low convex button, coat size, 20mm to 25mm.
