The diplomatic service was not a uniformed service per se, but they did wear uniforms when appropriate for certain official visits. Backmark: "G & W BOGGETT & CO. /(dot) ST MARTINS LANE (dot) / LONDON" dm middle solid line, this maker operated from 1826 to 1843 at this address. Two part button, coat size, 22mm.
