This is believed to have been issued to officers of New York 41st militia regiment. Backmark: TREBLE GILT / ORANGE COLOUR, dm between two solid rings, one part flat button, ca before 1820. One part flat button, large coat size, 21mm to 23mm.

New York symbolism, eagle over a globe, there are numerous variations, Backmark: blank back (no text), one part flat button manufactured 1800's up to 1820.There are many variations of the true blank back. Most buttons of the pre 1820 period were flat, plain, and thin. Many will have a split anvil line, although this line may be hard to find, due to wear, corrosion and other factors. One part flat button, large coat size, 21mm to 23mm.
