Backmark: TREBLE GILT / ORANGE COLOUR, dm between two solid rings, one part flat button, ca before 1820. One part flat button, large coat size, 21mm to 23mm. Most buttons of the pre 1820 period were flat, plain, and thin. Many will have a split anvil line, although this line may be hard to find, due to wear, corrosion and other factors.
