Buttons are generally well made with sharp strikes, most manufactured in England using backmarks denoting quality. Backmark: blank back (no text), one part convex button manufactured 1820's to 1830's. There are many variations of the true blank back. Buttons can either be stamped or cast. There also could be faint outlines of rings, this is probably machining marks from preparation of the die or mold. One part convex button, large coat size, 21mm to 23mm.
