Texas button, state or Confederate cavalry. Confederate artillery symbolism, letter A. Southern wartime manufacture. Button was wartime manufacture in Texas, bearing the letter A, most were issued to Texas artillery units, however, these also could have been issued to general Confederate troops. One part button.

Button was wartime manufacture in Texas, bearing the letter A, most were issued to Texas artillery units, however, these also could have been issued to general Confederate troops. Backmark: blank back (no text), cast button with deep concave well, shank was integral cast, then drilled, manufactured by T Miller, Houston Texas. One part convex button, coat size, 20mm to 22mm.
