B1638 ### Virginia buttons, FAKE-FANTASY-REPRODUCTION. This was culled from a collection. Notice the crude milling, shank and sutler mark removed. Somebody wanted this to be real but it obviously is not. Research Center: Button6899-Virginia-FAKE-FANTASY-REPRODUCTION-000 .

B7343 ### Virginia buttons, FAKE-FANTASY-REPRODUCTION. Virginia one part button made by Historical Reproductions, (Jeff Posey). This sutler produces for the living historians, this picture taken off his website as sample of their production, Notice the mark HR (Historical Reproduction) in the flat area around the shank. He does seem to mark most of his production but of course the fakers try to remove the marks. Research Center: Button6899-Virginia-FAKE-FANTASY-REPRODUCTION-000 .
