Plate5599-Ohio-678-FAKE-FANTASY-REPRODUCTION Ohio-FAKE-FANTASY-REPRODUCTION Ohio, sword plate, this passed through the hands of several high collectors. Ridgeway bought it and it was discovered to be a fake, thanks to Mike ODonnell. The tipping point, was that it was simply too good of a piece, matching keeper patina, nothing ever comes out of the ground in parts looking like this. All of the previous owners made good on their commitment, and it now resides in the junk box of the first guy who bought this from the supposed digger. Gary Williams did provide the community with an explanation, but only years later, after it had passed through and burned several good collectors.
